I have just finished "Poorly Made In China" by Paul Midler, and have a empty notebook waiting to be filled so this applies to me on many levels.

I´d love to mix 3.1 Phillip Lim menswear ss 12 collection with one of these timeless bracelets. The softness of the textiles and the hardness of the metal is an interesting and not so obvious contrast.

A MASTERPIECE

By wikipedia: "I Am Love (Italian: Io sono l'amore) is a 2009 Italian film directed by Luca Guadagnino set around 2000 in Milan. The film follows a haute bourgeoisie family through changing times and fortunes, and its disruption by the force of passion. The cast is led by Tilda Swinton as Emma Recchi. Co-producers Swinton and Guadagnino developed the film together over an 11-year period. The film premiered in the United States at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and premiered in both the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival. The title is taken from a line from the aria La mamma morta, which is explored in the film Philadelphia (starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington), a scene of which Emma is watching while in bed with her husband, during the film. The film's soundtrack uses pre-existing compositions by John Adams."
Raf Simmons helped design this Acadamy Award nominated wardrobe, and I loved the Jil Sander ss 11 show, but I love this movie more. Tilda Swinton looks truly magnificent, dressed in Jil Sander toting Hermes bags. No one lookes better than Emma Recchi in her orange Jil Sander chinos paired with a light blue oxford shirt and black pearls. It is a true visualization of how nothing compares to the beauty of quality and craftmanship. When was the last time a simple grey coat stole the show?
Kelly Cutrone sent me
Kelly Cutrone writes that bracelet shopping at the counter at Hermes is one of the great pleasures of life. I have done so once and it was wonderful! I bought a simple one I wear with bracelets bought in markets and a woven Bottega Veneta. I think the bracelet I would really want is the Collier de Chien, though, because of the heavy hardware. Bottega Veneta makes beautiful jewelry, like the knot bracelets, or woven key straps. Simplicity at it´s best!
The pictures are from hermes.com and bottegaveneta.com. You may order bracelets there! One is not enough!
